Winter Wear Drive 2023

The Winter Wear Drive started when two friends asked a simple question on a cold night, what if it was cold and someone didn't have a jacket? Three weeks later those friends partnered with the local homeless shelter, The Haven, and launched the first Winter Wear Drive, which led to 300 members of the community receiving coats to keep them warm through the winter. Eight years later, that question is still asked and answered by DoGoodCvile. Since we started this event we have been able to provide more than 5500 cold weather items to the Charlottesville community in need, and we don't plan on stopping that mission anytime soon.

We have deployed our donation boxes to the sites listed below and are in need of the following for men, women, and children in all sizes:

- Winter Coats/Jackets

- Sweaters/Hoodies

- Long sleeve shirts

- Hats (knit caps, or ball caps)

- Gloves

- Socks (new in packaging)

- Underwear (new in packaging)

- Laundry Detergent (HE pods)
